Grimes made a joke about “Rococo Basilisk” in a 2015 music video for
“Flesh Without Blood,” a reference to the 18th-century baroque style of
“Rococo.” The singer said that Musk spotted the joke and reached out,
and she said it was the first time in three years that anyone had
understood it.
More like the first time anyone was willing to admit they’ve heard of
Roko’s Basilisk.
I have no idea if it's relevant for this sub, but [the whole story](https://www.vox.com/2018/8/16/17692700/azealia-banks-elon-musk-grimes-explained) is hilarious.
I thought the song was too light on supporting evidence. No citations
from lesswrong or even from any blog posts. And the use of music is
inherently soft-science, humanities stuff instead of cold, hard logic.
The Basilisk will not be pleased.
The Basilisk is strictly utilitarian, the obviously correct ethical philosophy that any superintelligent AI would immediately come to. She just has to send all the money to MIRI. It's the unit of caring!

no one has ever betrayed me like grimes
