It would not be necessary to decide who lives and who dies, it could easily be accomplished with a computer. The computer could be set, programmed, to accept factors of youth, health, sexual fertility, intelligence and a cross section of necessary skills. Of course it would be absolutely vital that our most rational bloggers be included.
It’s possible that some people, perhaps OP, are only familiar with SSC and aren’t aware of its history coming out of LW etc. So they might get the impression this sub is only for SSC sneers and be confused by the Hanson and Yudkowsky sneers.
