While I do think that protestors should put some effort into educating people (which is hard I know, but it is also done esp beforehand (so in 99% of the cases this is already done, it might be hard to find though)), it is silly to demand to be educated while the protest is happening. Esp when the protest is happening for the 100th time. The added problem is of course that it is hard to educate rationalists, as when they see 'this research has numbers which say it aint bad', it they believe the research. (Unless the subject is godai). Story from Dutch police violence. Cops say 'nah, according to research it isn't that bad'. Person gets beat up by cops (after the cop called these black people a monkey), tries to get the cops charged, and the cops just refuse to accept the charges. (We also had a group of cops who called themselves the 'marrocaneradicators' (marrocans are the open racist target of choice in our country, the blackface black pete thing is just a piece of cultural racism))
