I guess we can add “conventionally-minded/passively-minded”” to the list of made up nonsense categories these people use to place themselves in the good club and the feminists in the no good stinky bad club

Good to know Paul Graham has expanded the usual rationalist taxonomy of [genius rationalist category]/[dumb sheeple category] into a more nuanced spectrum of sheeple to big brained computer touchers.

as if I need any help

Username checks out.

Paul graham being compared to a straight up racist, what delicious … well yeah.

The startup culture is kinda bonkers anyways. I remember back when a friend of mine was “trying” to recruit me, and when I expressed resistance because I had just moved, and he was trying to see If I could live in SF on min pay, said thay “some people are born startup people and some aren’t”. What an ass! In the end his startup failed to deliver much money to employees: they got like maybe 100k bonus and a reset vesting schedule. The founders earned like 0m each?

The heritability of start-up potential is 0.8, greater than that for height!
Also turns out wealthy and the feeling of safety which drives the risk taking behavior that startups can require is heritable as well! WOW!

>South American South African
Argh, yes, sorry.

I’d really like to make a big bucket of popcorn and watch Mead fanboys battle the skull-measurers. Is there a motte thread for this yet?

> Mead fanboys battle the skull-measurers Are they meaningfully different?
The narcissism of small differences makes for the best popcorn threads! It's like you don't even Reddit!

If only there was some kind of shorthand for this argument, so that kids being raised today could understand why there are gods punishing them because they think certain things.
