I am slightly concerned that their donation page actually
seems functional, or at least that they’re willing to take your personal
data. Does anybody interested in immanentizing the eschaton want to
report if it actually works?
Also, who else thinks this is viral marketing for Portal 3 or
something?
Volcanos were responsible for at least two of the five great
extinctions in Earth’s history. The question isn’t if it will happen
again, but when. How might we harness this awesome power and accelerate
the process?
…
Pandemic
The 1918 influenza pandemic killed more than 50 million people. In
our increasingly crowded and connected world, supported by factory
farming and teeming with new strains of antibiotic-resistant bacteria,
the potential for a new pandemic has never been greater.
So the people in the about section are real people and I’m trying to
figure out if they’re the people who created it or if the site just
spoofed em. But in the process of trying to figure out I learned and am
happy to report that Tanya Harrison has raised money to cover all of her
medical debt!
Edit: One of the people listed on that page retweeted a tweet from
the website’s twitter page so I’m pretty sure they’re all involved in it
as a satirical sort of thing
> Not even listing vacuum collapse, amateurs
In unrelated, I had a showerthought about that the other day... MWI with unstable vacuum (in an unstable equilibrium). Not even metastable, just altogether unstable. Seems like you can maybe get objective collapse this way (of course the trouble as always would be getting the right probabilities) plus some additional laws of physics as a survivor bias.
edit: put another way, a belief in many worlds should be very easily overturned by a relation that is more compactly expressed in some form of "if it isn't equal, you're so screwed you don't get to see it". Superfluous things in physics tend to find some elegant use eventually.
ok this is funny
A bold strategy

They’re research page is a goldmine:

Not even listing vacuum collapse, amateurs, might even be scammers.
E: From their twitter page. Also good one
I googled this and found the EA sub talking about it
