There's a certain kind of "I'm not a racist because I equally hate all races." That you sometimes see trotted out. If you assumed that was genuine and not a troll it would count.

edit: in case this is unclear, I meant that philosophers like Charles Mills show how fundamentally flawed is the view that Kantian ethics are color-blind or that ethics can be color-blind (let alone that Kant himself was color-blind, when in fact he pretty much invented the discourse of scientific racism nearly single-handedly), which does not mean, to Mills in particular, that the whole Kantian project can or should be jettisoned.

professors at big name schools get spoiled over time, since everyone wants a recommendation letter from them. He could fart in an elevator and everyone there would consider themselves blessed.
Also, they wield an unbelievable amount of power over students, professors have the ability to literally ruin students future careers, and are often completely immune to the consequences of all but the most serious misconduct, thanks to tenure.
That’s a real recipe for narcissism, and is probably the true source for the “ivory tower” set of tropes.
