“Forcing” kids to go to school is a great benefited not only for the
child, but all people around them, and all of society. It’s a greater
benefit from labor of slaves because in the longer run each child will
produce a higher quality and a higher quantity.

This is a sub for making fun of bad opinions from rationalists. While r/TheMotte is not strictly rationalist, it did start as a spinoff of the culture war thread on r/slatestarcodex , so it is often considered on-topic here.
I think the description is a quote from something Eliezer Yudkowsky (a rationalist leader) said about the sort of people here. Not sure if he was referencing this sub or if this sub was named based on it, that was before my time.

I have no idea why this post showed up in my news feed since I am not
subscribed to this sub. But I can sympathize with the title statement,
even though I don’t agree with it. Because I remember being a child in
school and learning about civil rights. I remember being angry,
frustrated, and sad when I realized that, as a child younger than 18
years of age, I had zero civil rights. Adults ruled my entire world.
