Apparently I’m weird. I’ve never had an explanation as to why I’m weird, though. Anyway, why is being weird a flaw? It’s not as if I’m a serial killer.

I first read “why” instead of “what”, and it got me thinking, why do I base so much of my opinion about myself on what others say about me? Must be something about being social creatures and survival through society or some such.

Anyways, I feel like there are few things I haven’t been called. To my face, I’ve been called argumentative, annoying, tiring, blabberbox, masochist, ignorant, dismissive, careless, dysfunctional, autistic, emotionless, ambitionless, indifferent, and even psychopathic, to mention a few. Nevertheless, I keep my chin up and try to do my best, ever improving, as that’s all one can do really. We’re not all compatible, and that’s okay.

However, I’ve also been called a lot of good things, which are important not to forget nor dismiss! Like caring, friendly, honest, hospitable, crazy (the good kind), unique, intelligent, realistic, disciplined, humble, responsible, and proper.

The other day I was told I am both 50 and 15, sometimes even 5.

Low libido, high/unrealistic standards, argumentative, and I don’t really get excited about things. I also stick to my principles, which sometimes frustrates people because I might not budge even when it seems trivial.

My brother accuses me of being a contrarian, but I don’t think I am.

I’m lazy

My wife says I can be arrogant, and she’s probably right… My mom said a long time ago I didn’t measure risk properly and that I had “always had a bit of a temper”, and she was definitely right but I didn’t realise it until my late 20s, as one often does. 😓

Essentially all the negative ADHD traits: impatient with communication, forgetful, etc. Working on them though!

I’m stubborn, i can hold a grudge forever, I don’t speak at the right volume, and i repeatedly tell stories that are only vaguely related to the current topic.
