The opening theme to “Taxi.”
The Blacklist had a pretty dope soundtrack.
Edit: definitely not “original” music though.
Best use of music has to be Supernatural for sure
Clannad - Robin (the Hooded man) from Robin of Sherwood
enterprise, before they had a wierd people singing.
Cowboy bebop is awesome.
RWBY’s OST has no business being as good as it is.
The Mandalorian OST is great too.
Also a mention for One Punch Man OST, specifically Genos’s theme, my man looks like a total badass and his theme really complements the fights right up until he lets his guard down and gets flattened every fucking time.

Mr. ROBOT and Westworld have some amazing scores aside from the cover versions they provide.
The various versions of paint it black are fucking fantastic.
Mr Robot’s soundtrack is awesome, I remember the agonizing years waiting for the final volume to come out through all the red tape
Absolutely worth it

I liked the ukulele songs about all the states.
Twin Peaks. Lots of mood. The revival had several musical guests, too.
Angelo Badalamenti is super talented 🎶
- Peacemaker Season 2 opening
- Adventure Time closing
- One Punch Man Season 1 closing
- Peacemaker Season 1 Opening
- and an honourable mention for James Gunns other show Creature Commandos - all that punk and especially that Romani punk.
God knows I’ve had some rough fucking years!
I always listen through the Adventure Time ending. The only thing that ruins it is the production company messages at the end that cut the song off abrubtly.
You can find the complete version of adventure time’s ending song. It’s called island song :)
Battlestar Galactica! All of the themes for the various characters fit really well, and the taiko-style drums during space battles, which at first might seem stylistically a bit strange, work amazingly well to amp up the sense of urgency.
The drums add crazzzzy tension to those battles and totally capture the “Well, I guess now we have to wait a whole 45 seconds before that giant salvo of missiles we can all see clear-as-crystal closes in another 2 clicks towards our position and absolutely nukes us” vibe of it all.
I’ve always thought that BSG’s combat scoring was influenced by the combat music from the OG Homeworld game, which itself is ultra loosely based on the 70’s BSG show.
I loved their version of “All Along the Watchtower”
The Taskmaster intro always hypes me up for every episode
Also the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme could not fit any more perfectly. To this day every time I see the static noise before any HBO show I expect to hear “bum Bum BUM daaaaaaah…”
That’s Alex Horne’s band, “The Horne Section” in case you weren’t aware
The theme itself is ‘Frolic’ by Luciano Michelini, composed in 1974 for the film ‘La bellissima estate’ and used since then in some advertisements, in which Larry David had heard it. ‘Curb’ generally uses several old ‘production music’ pieces, i.e. those from a music library for films, tv and such. ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ also does this.
I was talking about the Taskmaster theme. Thought it was clear since I mentioned Alex Horne. The guy who basically created (and hosts) the show.
Ah, I’m not familiar with the show. Was wondering where a band fits in, if the track is library music.
I could have been more specific
It’s old but for a long time The Wonder Years supposedly couldn’t be released on home video because there were so many music licenses to get clearance for.
I wish they kept doing shows like that. Every ten years, try to make a decent, smart, earnest show about teenagers living twenty years prior.

I really like the theme song and musical setting of Firefly. I’m not as hyped about the story now as I once was, but the music is still great.
Here’s what I think of that

Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!
