They said there was servers in Asia that should help with ping for au and the game is pretty resistans to high ping because of how it is built. That is atleast what they said on the live stream I watched.

Gemcraft is pretty crazy. Once you learn that combining gems in different order change how they upgrade. Had to use a small program to optimize that. It is so much fun but forever since I played so… I would suck now.

“better off just buying a PC”.
It is a PC.

I have never managed to get any exe to start with wine and god i have tried. I have no idea why it never works but a menu comes up and i can choose a lot of stuff, nothing in there works so i have just given up. Putting things and run through steam is stupid but works so i just run everything through steam 😂 Wish I didn’t have to.

I understood this. Classic.

Perfectly explained. Thank you.

Yes, sorry auto correct got me this time and english is not my native language while writing in a hurry. I should spend more time to try and be throughout in my writing. I don’t know the laws but from what I read from the previous message is that valve can’t do what epic does because that would be unfair and create a monopoly. To me this sounds very strange as depending on your position in the market you would abide by different laws? If epic would gain a lot more people and players, would they also need to charge more per game then?

So that means they operate under a different law which was the point of my question? Doubt.

I think you are missing the point of my question. Why would valve get in legal trouble if they charged less? Both EGS and steam is stored, no? They should be bound by the same laws. Afaik there are no special laws just because you are the market leader.
A lot of games get ruined from not going in blind. At least for me :/

Bazzite did that for me. Installing and getting a game up and running took me 20 minutes. No fuzz. All drivers and software self update.

How come Epic can charge 12% then? I believe there was some thresholds at some numbers of sales also even for steam? Like if you sold a million you pay 20% or something?

Are you okay? I don’t either want to experience this but… Just checking.

Because form and function is not the same thing. I don’t look at the controller while playing just like I dont give a damn how my keyboard look as long as it feels good and does what it is supposed to do.

I am European but no. That would increase the price and i believe valve wants to sell as cheap as possible.
This. It costs more but you will have a controller that will last years. Have used 8bitdo pro2 for a couple of years after rage quitting the Nintendo pro whatever it is named to switch for its worthless d-pad. Recently picked up a 8bitdo pro3 and yes, it cost a lot but it will probably be my only controller for many years now. Buying something that breaks after a year will cost you more in the long run. It’s expensive to be cheap.

Also running bazzite. Out of the 3 evenings i have played I had maybe 3 crashes/freezes. I think one was unrelated (I have a standing problem that happens with all “larger games”) but maybe this will solve the other one.
Last month was not for me. This looks a lot better. Since i already own Total Warhammer 3 maybe I can finally get a friend to play it. Gifting = no choice. He he.

I don’t have any real issue either. Have a rtx 4070 card. Or… Well… There was some issues playing darktide on anything but the lowest settings for some reason but other than that its been good.
Note that i mostly play smaller/indie games with very few exceptions.
Special delivery all the way for me. I just loooooove to get video games served in my face by a cutie. Thank you valve!
