I follow a lot of skincare communities online and whenever I see a product with PDRN, I cringe. Who even thought of making skincare products with it? What company approved the idea? How on Earth did any marketing team convince anyone to buy it is beyond me.

Internet privacy and ad retargeting is a rabbit hole that the more I go down, the more I wish we never get let Big Tech normalize their methods.
I’ll never get over this because how do you bankrupt a literal money printer.
^ I also love my public libraries and schools too

Regulating smartphone sells feels like overkill imo. It’s one of those things where it’s up to the parents and, unfortunately, it means that there will be kids with phone but that’s all you can do really.
I do like the idea of restricting social media apps. My parents did the same thing when I was growing up. It didn’t really work because I managed to work around it. But, it’s the thought that counts lol.

I think a good middle ground would be minor regulation and education. Forbid places like Instagram, for example, from recommending beauty ads if a person is consuming content that may indicate that they are insecure about their bodies. Then ensure that teens/young adults know what tricks social media use to garner engagement, be mentally addictive etc so they can make more informed choices.

The Steel Ball Run anime! I decided to read 80% of the manga (after the anime was announced) to save the finale for the anime so I have something to look forward to and the suspense is killing me.

I don’t have much plans really. If my building has some chocolates great, if not, I’m going to Walmart the day after to get discounted sweets.

Chinese soup dumplings. My friends and I got together to make some and boy did they turn out…different than we expected. I watched YouTube videos before that explained why they are hard to get down, especially the folding part but, yeah, I think I’ll just pay the $3-8CAD for a bag.
and it felt soo good /lyr

I really like WAFRN (https://wafrn.net/) which is a Tumblr-inspired platform. I’ve never been able to get into the more micro-blogging style that Tumblr is known for, but for some reason, I find myself very engaged with WAFRN.

I understand how you feel completely. My late cat Hazelnut (15, bottom pic) started to use the top of cat tower that my late cat Potter (9, top pic) used to lay on all the time.

I can’t wait to see Quanxi and her girlfriends animated!
It’s hard to tell, but I assume it’s evil and intimidating.
Hopefully none of that “subscribe to see more matches” bs
Oh, and one of the generic message prompts is “What Linux distro do you use?”

A portable dishwasher! I was volunteering at the store at the time so I got a special rate and dibs. It’s been a lifesaver since my house doesn’t have one build in.

I love bleeding hearts. There used to be a bunch on them in my front garden growing up, I used to crush them and try to make dye from it when I was little.

I started my privacy journey last year. My gf at the time, was really into privacy and told me all about data collection and selling. I bushed it off, justifying it as the cost of a using a free platform, until I noticed that topics from our Discord convos would appear on my YouTube recommendations (or I Googled something similar, still creepy none the less). It was so oddly specific that I freaked me out and I almost immediately changed my search engine, browser, email, etc.
I use Mullvad on my PC and Brave on my phone and tablet. (Please, don’t hurt me fellow Lemmings)
