Fuck AI@lemmy.world•Microsoft gets tired of “Microslop,” bans the word on its Discord, then locks the server after backlash

Make sure you train a whole bunch before taking it anywhere. If something happens you want to be able to have confidence that you can react the right way quickly.

Fuck AI@lemmy.world•Meta patents AI that takes over a dead person’s account to keep posting and chatting 👻
2·2 个月前According to the patent, the model “may be used for simulating the user when the user is absent from the social networking system,” including cases where the person is on a long break or deceased.
So essentially if you decide to stop using Facebook or Instagram, this AI could pretend to be you in your place and make actions via your account. Gee, can’t see how that could possibly be abused.
My rule of thumb is $1 per hour of gameplay. So if I don’t expect to get at least 70 hours out of a game, I’m not paying $70 for it. I don’t consider it a bargain until I get down to significantly less than a dollar per hour.

News@lemmy.world•US labor unions gear up to fight against Trump’s ‘Billionaire First’ agenda

Increasing censorship, upvote surveillance and ever increasing enshitification

It’s entirely self funded with the intent to pursue non profit status in the near future. The reason for obscuring personal names is security; given the current admin’s attitude toward leftist groups (especially armed ones), we encourage all members to use anonymous names for an extra layer of personal security should the group ever be compromised by bad actors.
The website itself is relatively new and a work in progress, hence some areas feeling rather bare. That said, I totally understand the skepticism and went back and forth myself back when I joined. I’d be happy to try to get you in touch with a board member if you’d like to chat further about what the group is and does!
