To add to what others have said, this user is a known spammer that just reposts things from reddit without changing anything.

The problem is that this person posts CONSTANTLY and is spamming communities without even changing the title. This had tricked a lot of people into thinking this person is the OP of that post.

Imo one of the best things about lemmy/piefed is that the userbase is small enough to make everything feel like a community that you’re a part of. There are posts where i can recognize the creator that made them before I even look at the name. This actively harms that by flooding posts that are super generic and often straight up lies (such as posts that start with “my son did” etc)

Unfortunately this person just reposts stuff from reddit. This isn’t actually their kid.

The audiobook is excellent because you get to actually hear excerpts from the podcast, music and all, with a different actor playing the host of the podcast.

I think the easiest option would be to separate them from eachother. “Only in theaters” and “September 9th” as 2 separate statements would remove the ability to combine them into a single sentence.

Alternatively, adding the word “starting” between them would work or adding the word “releasing” before everything. Both would imply that the movie will be in theaters exclusively and also that itll be longer than one day.

While this whole post was intended as silly, I do think that this would help differentiate theaters runs vs the special 1 day screenings that have gotten more and more popular in recent years.

My conspiracy is that these were added on purpose to add more data for AI to train on.

This post is purely a comment on how the presentation of having “only in theaters” right before a single date could be confusing.

Yeah I do realize that. I understand that they are saying that it is showing exclusively in theaters STARTING on that day but I only know that because I know movies and theaters and how that stuff works.

The wording is vague enough that it could easily but read the other way if you don’t have preexisting context.
