Games@lemmy.world•Help me out: which looks better for the Duck - the neck tie or the bow tie?English
7·1 year agoI like the bowtie better, but I feel it gets lost in the shadows of the duck head. So, I’m leaning towards the necktie, just for visibility sake. I wonder what embiggening both tie styles a bit would do.

Well shit, my bad. Fixed, thanks!
It’s from an old
Penny Arcade,Ctrl+Alt+Del, often mocked for its sudden melodramatic tone in an otherwise silly comic series:
It means Rick Deckard won’t be coming for you any time soon.

Linux@programming.dev•Anyone running Linux or ChromiumOS on a Chromebook ? / Looking for an efficient Laptop or TabletEnglish
3·1 year agoMedia playback has been just fine for me, both browser streaming and local files via VLC. Battery is a little harder for me to say because my battery, according to ChromeOS, was at 85% health, but I’ve watched 4-5 hours of YouTube straight one day when I was sick, and I think it was around 20% when I woke up and plugged in from 100%.

Linux@programming.dev•Anyone running Linux or ChromiumOS on a Chromebook ? / Looking for an efficient Laptop or TabletEnglish
3·1 year agoI am. My Asus Chromebook aged out of support, so I put PopOS on it using this guide. Luckily, I had a compatible board, so I didn’t have to physically alter anything:

Runs pretty decently, although boot up is rather slow.

10·1 year agoIt kinda is, actually. I’m from Montana, and he’s a lock, though we may be going blue with our governor, so maybe that’s more what it’s for? Seems like a pretty big waste of energy for 3 electoral votes.
