Yep! I’ve been learning the guitar since last year. My current goal with it is to be able to play any songs by ear (or at least, cover the on the spot)

So i figured this is probably important to learn too, and started practicing it daily

I watched the first few episode of the anime “Chainsaw Man”, off a friend’s recommendation. The animation is fun to watch but it hasn’t really hooked me yet. Maybe i need to find a character I like still…

The recent movie has a 9.20 on MAL, so I have high hopes?

Kinda working on a couple of things in parallel on my end, but right now my main two “projects” are:

Working through “Beyond Cracking the Coding Interview” in the hopes of landing a better job for myself next year :finger_crossed: I’m up to chapter 5 right now, but it’s a pretty nice read. I’ve been using a site called StudyStream to dedicate an hour of study time every morning before work, and so far, it seems to be working (:

Using the website “Tonedear” to learn the difference between different notes and chords by ear. I started only last week, and couldn’t really make sense of it at first, but after doing it every day, I think it’s working! I can tell the difference between B,C,D,E with 100% accuracy for the most part.

For chord intervals, I could tell the difference between major and minor really easily, so I started practice with major 7th and minor 7th in the mix. But I can’t tell the difference between them for the life of me lol. I’ll probably add something else as a third chord instead from tomorrow.

I’ll be meeting up with a couple of friends on Sunday to catch an ice hockey game. I was surprised to learn that there’s a whole Asia league. And they play pretty close-by to my city too. TIL !

Basically, I don’t really have any purpose being in Japan anymore. Thinking ahead, i have a couple of life goals that just aren’t feasible for me to try here. And once i came to that realization, I started to feel more like leaving.

As to where I’ll go next, it really depends! I think I’m pretty disadvantaged in the current job market, but I do have an older brother in the states i can rely on. He’s the type that would offer me room/board with no questions asked.

I’m open to moving anywhere for the right opportunity, though. So we’ll see!

Oddly enough i feel way less anxious these days.

I think its because i finally came to terms that i don’t want to live in Japan anymore.

As a side effect ive been taking up more responsibilities/risks at work and learning alot more

This week i came up with a plan and will probably be starting my long interview prep journey soon.
