The creator got an offer for a proton affiliate link and an interview (regardless of whether he would accept the affiliate link or not). after he rejected the sponsorship, proton ghosted him and ignored his reminders for the interview.

like witty username pointed out, aosp is open, so other OS’s like GrapheneOS are based on android but without any google services. the stock android you get though is not
