  • Gravity Falls and Steven Universe are the first two to pop into my head. Both start out having pretty self contained episodes before opening up to a big story arc. I think Star Wars Rebels gets overlooked even though it has seems to have less filler than Clone Wars did.

My kids are no where near the target demo anymore, but we’ve watch all of Bluey as a family too. The number of times I’ve teared up at that show is ridiculous.

I’m also a fan of the Adventures of Pete and Pete, Rocko’s Modern Life, Invader Zim, and Magus XLR but they all have a heavy dose of nostalgia for me too.

  • If you’re just after customizing appearances, the WWE games have a lot to offer. Aside from changing the physique and facial features they let you change the texture of your clothes. Clothing options are mostly modern, but I know there’s usually armor for different periods as well. You can also use custom textures for tattoos and the like, but I never really messed with that side of it. It’s also handy if you want to make a bunch of people since having a whole roster is a big part of the game.

I also remember Saints Row IV having a good character creator, but it’s been years since I’ve played it so I can’t give a lot of details.

  • My Instagram feed has gotten more left since Trump took office again, but I have also started following more political and activist accounts. I noticed as I was leaving Facebook the less I interacted with things the more insane posts the algorithm would show me. It could be if Meta doesn’t know what you want to see it just shows you the worst hoping you engage somehow.

  • I want a city builder with a Civ-like timeline. You start off building huts and farms and keep on going until you get space elevators and fusion power. I want to see roads go from footpaths to trails for horse drawn carriages to full on highways. I also like the idea that you could choose your starting period so it could be used as a standard city builder too.
