Doesn’t one of the office alternatives do .xlsx? Or at least use the web version of excel?

Yes, I’ve been experimenting with different Linux distros since 2008 and I was pretty skeptical about “Atomic” distros when they first started buzzing around a few years ago.
However, this past year we’ve had to make the jump to Linux due to windows 11 shenanigans. But let me tell you. She’s got Bazzite and I’ve had to distro hop different arch distros.
But let me tell you, I am incredibly jealous of the amount of things that “just work™️” on her setup. Things that I’ve had to track down on obscure forums. Avoiding footguns and landmines.
I used to recommend Ubuntu, then it was Linux Mint, and now, I recommend any Atomic distro that fits your purpose.

At this point stop using HDMI

If you want honest feedback, I won’t be using it because it isn’t native. File converters are one of those things for me that I really want to compile on my hardware.
Well I hope you enjoy your stay, fellow .zip user

I love ReactOS I just want something as stable as XP
Something like that
They’re brand new and this is their only comment

Are you that dude that makes accounts for a few hours and deletes them?

Yep, it is. It’s an idiot-proof gaming distro. It’s preconfigured for gaming and immutable. I believe it’s based on Fadora Atomic.
My daily driver is EndeavourOS and my Girlfriend’s PC is Bazzite, and I’m seriously jealous of how many things “just work” on her PC that I have to scrounge through steam forums and Arch Wiki to get working.
If anyone wants to know why AI is completely useless. When it scrapes the internet, it can’t tell the difference between reliable information and Lemmy users.

There are plenty of movies where the same actor either plays or voices multiple characters. Austin Powers is a good example.

I guess I’m the only one here actively using Boost. I like it. Been using it since long before it was a Lemmy client, haha!

If you don’t have a preference, I recommend trying out Bazzite.

Did your parents never read you bed time stories?

I’ve been saying this since before the Ukrain War, all bark no bite. Everything has a shelf life, and without maintenance that time period is even shorter. I can’t image how well the technical components can hold up. Much less you account for things like spiders or rats dying over specific traces on the circuit board, shorting it out as soon as you apply power.
This goes for every nation that built a shit ton of weapons just to store them somewhere while the infrastructure decays. Is the infrastructure really there for a nuclear response, or is it all a game of chicken?

I assume it refers to assets and mechanics that actively involve AI. If you’re using Copilot to finish your switch case, I don’t think that would count.
Go figure, but the web version of excel should work.
