But let us never forget that western liberals and conservatives “outsourced” (what a name for it) to the global south and the east so that western corporations could exploit said slave labour, and they did so to spite and deflate Union movements, in order to avoid democracy - because unions are a form of democratic representation. Now they’re crying crocodile tears for the hole they dug us into, a whole we call the RACE TO THE BOTTOM.

Actually it’s our politicians who don’t reject new motions. The popular parties famously want to join, but don’t get to because it has to be decided by popular vote.

They could technically veto now, but refuse to. Another coalition could do something different. But joining would take the option off the table entirely.

Yeah, which means it would be functionally similar - but cheaper and much less sovereignty.

Yeah, it also means an extra reason for us Norwegians not to join.

Then build out more infrastructure, for Gods sake. Take the Texas grid for instance. It’s held together with duct tape and spit. Just the wind blowing the wrong way and suddenly half the state’s without electricity.

The answer is to use public spending, because the power companies want artificially low supply, since that means they make more money.

Of course you also need to install new infrastructure to let consumers also offset the grid, but again: artificially low supply.
