I’m on Lineage OS and it’s pretty good minus I can’t fully utilize my cameras as much, but it functions.
I love having 4-5 day battery life though. I charged up Sunday and am at 68%still, no lie! Not having Google everything run in the background is awesome!

I have around 130TB redundant and it wouldn’t equate to Netflix. Though I store in higher quality than most, but you’d need low quality like 720p utilizing h.265 or AV1 to save space to hold all that. Likely anything you download would be h.264 so you’d need to convert all that media too.

Why don’t you buy a BD-ROM drive and burn around 50GB data to those? Then they have those drive cases that’ll hold around 100 discs on a soft sleeve, easy to store, lightweight, but takes manual moving. But of you’re prose is archival/backup, that’s the way to go.
I’ve got stacks of DVD-ROM discs from almost 20 years ago that hold 4.7GB data each iirc and have flip phone pictures and video on just to not waste space on a backup hard drives that’s not likely to fail. I do have a BD-ROM drive now but never cared to pull data from disc to HDD, then reburn multiple onto 1 or 2 BD discs. Would make sense to do it as it’ll reset the preservation clock, be ~$100 drive, and last about 30 years.
You’re looking for inexpensive, long term, low technical skill. And I give you a solution that doesn’t require giving Sony money outside of royalties for blu ray tech.
Oh no kidding?! I mean, I never knew until the computer age when hard drives hit giga-bytes.
I’m just looking forward to the innovations of sodium ion batteries from BYD, CATL, and Goshen. They’re doing a lot of large scale large capacity batteries that’re cheaper and safer to produce and operate. Hopefully BYD implements into more vehicles, and I think CATL will too since they made the F150 lightning and Mustang Mach E lithium batteries. (Technically let Ford use the technology to make them iirc in Ford plants to be called American made or something)
It’s gigawatts but they mispronounced it because, well, in the movie it’s 1955 and they much power was probably never heard of. IMO it was said wrong on purpose to show how absurd it was.

Capitalism went from allowing competition to drive down prices to companies incrementally increasing prices that everyone follows and repeats.
I can recall this very thing “working well” with retail rewards systems. Best buy would revamp their rewards program actually making benefits worse and raising more spending to hit different tiers, and other similar retailers followed. The “Geek squad” services increased, so did competitors to remain competitive while increasing profits.
Automotive repair shop’s cost of hourly labor goes up while the actual mechanics hardly see an increase in pay.
Slowly but surely things have gone up in price while what you’re spending money on buys you less. Physical media that you OWN never “expires” but streaming services and buying digital copies in services like Apple TV lose the rights. Games disappear because severs shut down or rights expire.
YOU WILL OWN NOTHING AND BE HAPPY! and the way big tech is treated, well, if buying isn’t owning, than piracy isn’t stealing.

I haven’t been on in years. At first everyone said I was left out, IDC, text me better than fb/meta. I’ve been sm free since ~2016. It works just fine.

Um. While this sounds very true, the article date is April 1, so hard to tell if satire
Oh I gotcha, playing dumb so the dad figures out is the bf. Mkk. Sorry I just woke up when I read it 😅

Awesome!! About time. Time to go update stuff!
So the bf is also the brother?

Take away about 25-27% for federal and state taxes, social security, idk if they pay for health care since gov, but then she also lives in NY, so I’m sure is not cheap.
Honestly, any secure messaging app would suffice! Maybe minus Signal since that needs a phone number currently.
I use an XMPP server to do messaging for my kid without a “real phone”.
Honestly, with lineage it’d be pretty locked down as they couldn’t do Google play apps for major social media, but I guess it depends on how old and knowledgeable they’d be about loading micro G for that stuff.
Also, iirc, you can use an MDM with Lineage OS bc it’s still Android at its core, which could run Android enterprise, and Manage Engine does full MDM for free under 25 licenses/devices. Might be worth a test to deploy apps that way. I’ve done that for regular Android devices when my oldest wanted more freedom without me having to utilize Google all the time.

USS Nodefleet

Did anyone make an instance called starfleet?.. Since, you know… It’s federated?
