Google is working to add support for NFC Wireless Charging into Android 15, which requires much less space than Qi wireless charging.

So does that mean that every phone with NFC can charge wirelessly then, or is some special NFC needed.

  As far as I understand the article, NFC wireless charging requires a special NFC wireless charging antenna which would replace current generation NFC antennas.
