In 2023, 65% of voters who moved to Idaho from out of state were registered Republicans. One agent estimates that over 90% of his clients in recent years have been conservatives moving from California.
I don’t see it as hateful. The country was set up so that people have freedom of movement and can live amongst like minded people in other states.
If anything, the best thing people can do for each other is set up nonprofits that help people with moving costs when they are unhappy with the majority political mindset in their area.
That’d be great if we didn’t have things like the EC, I guess. What we really need is liberals to be distributed just enough in this country so as to neutralize the rural vote. :)
