They are also very commonly used by most modern presidents, but most of them haven’t had much attention brought to them, while Trump’s basically all have. Mostly because they’re pretty much all stupid and/or controversial.

To Trump, not having every person’s attention only focused on him at all times is a national emergency.
It makes him feel like the big boss, without any rules or opposition.
I think it’s an extreme case of attention seeking.
