from that thread I’ve also found out that most MDN content is written by a collective that exists outside of Mozilla (probably explaining why it took them this long to fuck it up), so my hopes that somebody forks MDN are much higher

The tone-deaf and bad faith approach of the “AI Help” contributors is a bit staggering. They don’t seem to engage with the “unvetted” portion of the complaint at all, and insist in saying “well if you squint the answers are useful”.
Maybe they are secret masochists, and “banging heads against desk, while being misled by documentation” is a bonus feature for them.
“But look, it spit out some text that looks related to the thing I typed in! That could be useful, maybe, probably!”
