Sorry for the stupid question but why is this a bad thing?
Because it may take a lot of time to complete.
For some its not a big deal. For anyone with the computer in their bed room, they want to click shut off and not have all the flashy lights and fans on for the next 30 minutes while windows undoes all the debloat tools you’ve ran.
Wtf who shuts down their computer?
I do because I’m tired of being woken up in the middle of the night when Winblows decides an update is necessary and my PC was originally in Sleep Mode.
Wandows reboots.
Literally just clicked that on mine before coming to bed.
Still amazing that they will copy everything from GNOME and Plasma but the “Are you sure?” on shutdown/logout/restart
