Because you spend the entire time trying to match the small variations in someone else’s speed which is a distraction vs pootling along at your own pace. Also even going just a couple of km/h faster than someone you drop them pretty quick.

I’m genuinely surprised it annoys anyone tbh, it’s just a couple of numbers. I laugh when my kids catch me and be as cringey as I can with it at every opportunity. Good harmless fun I can exploit for years to come.
It’s great at that, had a colleague run a diff through Claude and it explained how the new code was better and how the optimizations worked. Then my colleague realised they’d run the diff the wrong way round, fed Claude the new diff and Claude happily explained how the new code was better and how the optimizations worked.

2·2 个月前I’ve wanted to for years. I’ve tried to multiple times. Like I love computers and programming I can get absolutely lost in code for hours. For whatever reason when I start to look at networking my brain switches off and says nope. I can clean enough to hack what I need for the most part, but of I strive for any depth of knowledge on the subject my brain shuts down.
Hoping this article is the ticket.

I don’t know about you but I start an entirely new FOSS project every time I need some functionality that doesn’t come with the base OS.
No wonder it’s so expensive, they’re including snap-on products in the box.
