High rates make solar more attractive, which reduces revenue, investors and executives demand more revenue, so they raise rates, etc. My bill is broken down by generation costs and distribution costs, and distribution costs are a flat $.33 per kWh, while generation costs are as low as $.05 per kWh, all from renewable energy.
