I think many people are in denial about AI. Is it perfect, no. Has it gotten substantially better at an alarming rate? Absolutely. People that I see hating on AI may have legitimate concerns like the amount of precious resources used in manufacturing, the energy it consumes & climate impact, being trained on & mimicking others work without compensation, etc. Those are all legitimate discussions. But to pretend people generally hate AI, is often just wishful thinking by those that can’t even debate their positions. Or those trying to convince others to hate something so they can have an even bigger advantage. It is a genie that you can’t put back in the box.

  • Maybe you should read the Bible more & follow it, being more like your friend, or realize you don’t actually believe it & accept that you’re agnostic. Although the Bible doesn’t state when God will return, your friend actually seems more authentic. I’m agnostic myself but was raised Christian & was pretty serious about it for a while. The people that scare me most honestly are the people that claim to be Christian, but pick & choose what they want to believe.

  • You know I used to think Google actually had some legitimate arguments against being a monopoly by keeping Chromium, Android, and other things open source, while also allowing users to install apps outside the Google Play Store. Since then, they have essentially said they intend to make it harder for users to install third party apps, they’ve closed Android in many ways & they’ve added Gemini & more spyware into Chrome. I think there is a much stronger argument now that Google has monopolized & should be broken up. Either way, they definitely need to get rid of Pichai. He has done nothing but make terrible decisions at every turn.

  • A) First, I don’t know if you can be even more clueless to understand what “information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of Maduro” refers to. Do you think that just means a bounty that doesn’t get enforced? It literally is to there to provide information to assist the US in arresting Maduro.

    B) Ah yeah, I forgot they were going to send in the international police to arrest him despite not having an arrest warrant by the ICC. I do know of one person that had an arrest warrant by the ICC though that Biden was very friendly with, sending money & weapons to help murder children while his admin vetoed bills to stop the genocide.
