As a former donor to KDE I love nothing more than being called mere rabble.
I think this perplexes us because we’re tying ourselves in knots trying to rephrase it that it might be deemed more ‘mature’. But that is missing the point: bringing up the concerns of the users at all is just a fundamentally immature remark.
We, the developers, are the adults in the room, and we want to slop it. So fuck off.
See this is a proper mature remark, it explains reasoning clearly, it shows empathy for the first comment both understanding it, and explaining where it was wrong. And ends with some powerful mature words.
