I encourage you to take some of the election anxiety and turn it into productive action. That could look like canvasing (door knocking) to phone banking, text banking, letter writing and more. Those all have been shown to increase voter turnout. If nothing else, it at least reduce some of the anxiety

      • Here’s a site that shows volunteer opportunities around you both in person and online
        • You can find canvasing, phone banking, text banking, etc. there
      • Help write letters to swing states or competitive down ballot races
      • Progressive turnout PAC’s postcard to voters

I’ve put more time into getting Democrats and progressives elected than probably any one on this forum. Tens of thousands of hours. Both volunteer and professionally.

All that matters right now is Harris. She’s the one blowing it and only she can fix it. She needs to take a strong stand about conditioning aid to Israel.

You think those things are important? Go do them yourself.

the Uncommitted National Movement—which is critical of U.S. support for Israel’s annihilation of Gaza—announced last month that “Harris’ unwillingness to shift on unconditional weapons policy or to even make a clear campaign statement in support of upholding existing U.S. and international human rights law has made it impossible for us to endorse her.”

Uncommitted also made clear that it “opposes a Donald Trump presidency, whose agenda includes plans to accelerate the killing in Gazawhile intensifying the suppression of anti-war organizing,” and “is not recommending a third-party vote in the presidential election, especially as third-party votes in key swing states could help inadvertently deliver a Trump presidency given our country’s broken Electoral College system.”

Okay, so what are these people recommending then? I’m trying to be generous, but they sound like fucking idiots.

They recommend that you do vote, and don’t vote for anyone except Harris.

But they don’t explicitly recommend you vote for Harris.

This is super serious voting strategy you guys.

They’re not recommending anything. I think that’s the point.

They aren’t endorsing her. As in they don’t fully support her. But voting for anyone else is worse as it helps trump.
