"When Congress members consistently outperform benchmarks like the S&P 500, it raises serious questions about fairness."

“When Congress members consistently outperform benchmarks like the S&P 500, it raises serious questions about fairness insider trading.”

It is almost like they know the laws that will affect the stock prices of companies and they invest accordingly.

I wonder why Pelosi is always the mascot for this kind of behavior, when she was like the 6th best performing congressperson, and leagues behind the first?

Oh, the top 5 were all Republican, got it

She’s also the one who has fought any attempt to curb it, tooth and nail, for the past couple years.

Some people say you can’t reason with Republicans but can pressure Democrats. Making Pelosi the figurehead of this puts pressure on Democrats to change.

Republican voters just elected a felon. They do not and will not care about some insider trading so long as it’s the correct team doing it. Some Democrat voters might care about insider trading.

I make what a senator makes but I have nowhere near the net worth because I can’t insider trade.

You also don’t network the way a congressman networks

This can lead to insider trading, for sure, but also tons of other business opportunities

There is a reason why the richest families in the US tend to have politicians in the family

Can I get the same inside information from corporations? Also, can I get the same kickbacks?

      https://www.google.com/finance/quote/NANC:BATS?hl=en&window=1Y&comparison=INDEXSP%3A.INX%2CINDEXNASDAQ%3A.IXIC

Doesn’t look like it’s beating the S&P 500 by much. It’s pretty much parallel with the NASDAQ composite index over the past year.
