Props to her for becoming a better person then she was before. Takes guts to take that stance, I’d say

She seems like a good person who was misled by Trump if she has a moral compass like that.

Remember, a lot of those people were there because they were told that democracy was being undermined and the election was fraudulent. If that were actually the case, they might have been justified. But they only listed to the “facts” given by Trump instead of the overwhelming evidence to the contrary. It seems being sat down in court and shown the facts changed her mind. Which is not something you expect from someone in the MAGA cult.

Or she is such a deep delusional abyss that she prefers staying in prison (my ignorance for not reading the story first) … keeping her charges and becoming a martyr for her movement.

So you crossed out the part about her staying in prison but didn’t bother to re-evaluate the rest of your comment when she denounced Trump and everyone who stormed the Capitol multiple times?

Thanks for calling me out … I’ll own up to my stupidity and remember to read the content before commenting in the future.

Hey, that’s okay. It takes strength to recognize, own up to, and grow from it; that’s all you can really ask after the fact. Fuck knows I’ve read like a paragraph of an article before and gotten majorly called out.

I’m usually not that bad but I think I had way too much coffee this morning and I just finished a fantastically rich sugar loaded hot chocolate for myself and my wife … heavy cream mixed with 3% milk, two types of hot chocolate mix, bit of maple syrup, melted bits of chocolate cake frosting, crumbled homemade chocolate cake pieces, frothed cream and all served with homemade chocolate cake … I was on a sugar high and just commenting like a madman. Now I feel stupid and I want to go lie down.

Well trying to overthrow a government surely looks like an effort by foreign actors. Please, do not let your suffering in prison be in vain. The attempted coup was just that: a coup. And nobody should be entitled to just storm Capitol Hill to install somebody who couldn’t admit to himself he lost.

          1. Thank you for making it easy for LE to snatch your ass up. I hope you experienced the absolute worst of the justice system, even though I know you were treated with kid gloves.

          2. Not only should you NEVER be compensated for anything, you should be paying restitution and feel shame for the rest of your life.

How fucking dare you say anything “isn’t fair” after what you’ve done. I feel shame for having served my country knowing it was for people like you.

That’s not fair but you should look the other way round. You did your time and learned the lesson. Others were pardoned by a fellow felon.

Fight not to be on their level (be compensated) but fight for them to be at your level (doing the time and learning the lesson) by voting and making your voice being heard.

Only this way we can have a more just world.

we should abolish prisons to avoid this injustice altogether but only after everyone else serves the same time i did to make it fair

Good on her. That said, wasn’t she sentenced in 2022 to 60 days in prison with 36 months of probation.

Isn’t this pardon kind of irrelevant to her? She been out for a while, and I imagine it’s pretty easy to decline the pardon.

Meh…it’s a hollow gesture and a martyr for a lost cause. She already paid her fines and did the time. The pardon doesn’t do anything for her. She’s still a felon.
