I have some weird affection for the tankies that I shouldn’t have. They’re objectively horrible people for their views, but I got so used to pissing them off with referring to a certain cartoon animal that I’d kinda miss them. How can I make it stop?

Lemmy atheist reporting here. We’re quite a minority here, and I’ve seen more “um, ackchually, [christian right wing extremeist] isn’t a real christian, real christians are all loving and not hateful bigots” way more often than people criticizing religion.
Well, now there’s one more atheist here.
Denialist christians are the worst kind of toxic positivity christians. You can’t be complicit in something horrible for decades and then turn around and say “not us” now.
