Summary
Spotify removed an Andrew Tate podcast titled Pimping Hoes after complaints, including a petition with over 92,000 signatures.
The company cited violations of its policies against dehumanizing content but denied employee complaints influenced the decision. Other Tate podcasts remain on the platform despite accusations that they promote misogyny and exploitation.
The Tate brothers, facing rape and human trafficking charges in Romania and under investigation in the UK, claim innocence.
The controversy follows broader concerns about Spotify hosting harmful content, including past criticism over Joe Rogan’s podcast.
Ite takes 92,000 complaints for Spotify to enforce their own policies regarding dehumanizing content? Great work, Spotify!
Imagine if Casey Anthony made a podcast about getting rid of annoying kids. That’s about the same energy of a sex trafficker having a pimping podcast, no idea why it took such a push to end it.
They could have done so before the complaints, and yet
Now do Joe Rogan
Whatever high level Spotify leadership kept the human trafficking content up there for so long needs to be throughly investigated and publicly shamed.
Wait… So all I have to do is complain about it?
I’m off to bitch about Joe Rogan.
I doubt they take down Joe after they spent a pretty penny getting him on Spotify (don’t know if that contract is still active)
