well, it’s a website for an app-based service, but I still think it deserves recognition.
TooGoodToGo helps fight food waste by letting you pick up packages of discounted food nearing its expiration date from local businesses: https://toogoodtogo.com/
It’s a shame that it only seems to have taken hold in certain areas in Germany. I.e. not in either of mine.
Might be worth telling your local shops about it, maybe they just don’t know this exists. When I told my mother about the app she liked it so much she talked to a bunch of local shops she’s a regular at and a couple of them joined afterwards.
