Also, my cat was totally uninterested in it :D
These lads ate the crap out of my raspberry leaves last year I couldnt get rid of them and I dont think the local birds seemed to want them.

I’m sure there are enough predators around to kill the larvae 😇They killed my balcony tomatoes a couple years ago. I couldn’t figure out a non-pesticide solution so I just let my plants die and tried again the next season.
they are hungry lads. I wish I could find something that wanted to eat them, I could suck them up but I feel like it would just be better going with nature

Looks like a Rose Chafer, Cetonia aurata. If you’re not in the UK/EU it could be a similar species. Wikip. say North American rose chafer, Macrodactylus subspinosus for the US.
I have a plant that is either a reservoir or trap crop (depending on how you look at it) for aphids and what looks like some kind of weevil. I’ve noticed over the past couple of weeks, though, that every manner of wasp seems to be interested in it, presumably eating the aphids (or just the honeydew). Hopefully they hang around enough to help control populations of aphids on my other plants.
