There is no calculation. Build all the wind and sun needed to end carbon fuels, and do it quickly, or we die.
Everything else is a distraction to keep us from demanding the building of all the solar and wind engery needed to make carbon redundant.
Period.
Footprints is an Exxon distraction.

As expected, oil and gas producers under-reporting emissions are not mentioned. You’re right, footprints are a huge misdirection.
I don’t necessary agree with the article, I just thought it was interesting enough to post, even if easily refuted.
