    How was it debunked?

You can clearly see his pinky finger melting into his palm and then his ring finger becoming his new pinky if you play the official video on YouTube at 0.25 speed.

Im not saying the whole video is fake, but there’s definitely something weird about the video

Likewise, look at the damn article this post is about.

Trump today does not look like the Trump in that video. Trump, today, looks like he’s had a damn stroke.

The AI video doesn’t even look like a Trump from this week, and even if its only AI in-part, thats still extraordinarily important and not OK, and any one dismissing this as a “debunked” is normalizing something thats actually a huge fucking deal (way fucking bigger than some shit bird getting shot in the neck).

Yeah, I don’t know how people can’t realize that Trump in that video, is NOT what Trump actually looks like, even with the best makeup. He’s old and tired. When you see pictures of him dressed in casual golf attire at maralago he looks like an old fat woman who’s melting

Sure. Recorded at 24fps and interpolated to 60fps. Lots of weird shit can happen with motion interpolation.

His body barely moves at all until it randomly spasms into motion every like 30 seconds. That’s not how people, especially Mr talks with his hands, communicates.

He’s dead and they turned his corpse into an animatronic puppet, but they did it poorly, like everything they do.

I’ve played a bit with frame interpretation using open source models. With those models, fast movement did seem to trigger some weird artifacts and glitches that were visible at lower speeds or paused.

I guess it’s possible that a propietary model is using some other image generation techniques to make those artifacts less noticeable. I think that would still constitute something that should be called out.

If the issue is with interpretation, then we shouldn’t see this visual glitch in the original footage.

YouTube has been doing “AI” stuff to shorts lately. It’s caused a lot of upset among the artists posting stuff as it’s changing their artwork.

That said, I’ve not seen the video in question so don’t take my comment as anything about that.

I have seen some video editors say that it’s shot morphing, a technique to seamless switch from one shot to another or to cut out filler words. I don’t think it’s good to edit shots like this where veracity is important but it’s probably real.

Maybe. If that’s true, I still say it should be called out and it shouldn’t be accepted as a practice.

It’s morphing to hide a cut, it’s used quite often nowadays. Probably Trump fucked up a read and couldn’t be assed to do it again. Infer from that what you will.

I was weirded out by the disappearing finger as well. There was a recent article in The Atlantic that mentioned Google had been testing AI to improve video clarity. It’s possible we are seeing a combination of that and motion interpolation artifacts like what was mentioned here. I used yt-dlp commands to download both the CNN video and the video from the white house channel. They both look less weird on a larger screen. That process was called out here.
