    Jesus dude, I live in a smallish Southern town and I can’t remember the last time I heard a slur in public or private.

      Yes but what color are you? What do you look like?

      I am in the deep south, and white. I absolutely could hear it daily if I didn’t shut it down either explicitly verbally, or by not looking like them by what I wear.
