…I didn’t think I’d ever end up cheering on GEMA.
@nightsky @dgerard
Wouldn’t that be great?
@nightsky I will still not cheer them on. Just because they are right now a bunch of dicks at somebody who deserves it doesn’t mean they are any less of a bunch of dicks. If they take down OpenAI - good for us. For them it‘s just a side-effect of their general bunch‘o‘dickery.
Its still innovation. Driving away innovation is never a good idea. :/
putting you on a PIP because you’ve failed to innovate past innovation
…huh, Posting Improvement Plans probably do need to be a thing the internet has
@Nomad @nightsky valuing innovation over ethics is never a good choice.
we’ve re-learned this so many times, it should be already ingrained into any engineering and scientific teaching.
but there’s always a clever idiot who thinks that this time, this one time it will be special, it will be different.
if only anyone studied any IBM/VW/… history, we could’ve known things. alas, no-one could have ever undertaken such an endeavour, and the outcomes of such “innovation” and “drive” are unknowable! oh, woe is us, forlorn in the quest for ever improving whatsoever
