Oh, I agree with you completely on all your points.
My guess as to why the erotic art pics on Lemmy don’t get as much feedback is that… they’re reposts, no potential to engage with the artist, as I am here with you.
But, maybe you’re talking about a comm I’m not aware of?
Either way… its interesting that I basically say “I like your style, sense of style, and body,” and … you say aesthetics is not the point, the point is mutual enjoyment.
… but I enjoy aesthetics. People’s body forms snd shapes… basically are, or are an element of their aesthetics, nearly fundamentally. Many people enjoy all kinds of art or images or videos or whatever, largely or entirely based on aesthetic appreciation.
Is there some other kind of enjoyment you derive from, and hope others enjoy from these images?
I suppose you don’t have to answer that if you don’t want to, I guess you could say one of my kinks is overanalyzing things, hah.
Since I’m pretty new to Lemmy NSFW, for now I’m just exploring the exhibitionnist kink. What I like when I do the pic is the feeling to show myself to the world. It’s a weird mix between trying to make people look at me the way I look at me, and knowing how people will feel horny about it
Y a know, my body appears to be in the beauty standards but I believe I would have made shots anyway even if I was “ugly”. To me humans are beautiful with their imperfections, moreover imperfections make humans beautiful
(One artist that made me cry is the work from junjun_artfactory)
Also I have enough knowledge in psychology to understand the human need for beauty, whatever beauty might mean. So no worries, your reflection is largely welcomed!
And I likewise value you sharing your … motivation, approach, mindset!
I will have to take a peek at junjun sometime, love a recommendation!
I agree with you that… absolute perfection is somewhere between impossible and boring, that it is… certain kinds of imperfections that are beautiful in different ways to different people…
… something like that.
Kinda hard to just, objectively define what beauty as a concept is, lol.
