Today’s game is some more Halo: Reach PvP. While I was finishing up the last of my moves to CachyOS (I only backed up my CompatData, Halo, and Skyrim), I took a break to play with some friends. We played Infection on Zealot (a staple of our games). I did really well up until the end where I got cornered as the last one alive and without any ammo. I tried to fight my way out, but when you’re facing three guys with energy swords, though, that’s kind of impossible.

I put up a damn good fight the entire match though. I racked up over 38 points I believe. I penned myself in on the rooftop since there are only 3 entry points and prayed for the best. That was when I ran out of ammo and dropped down hoping to lose them in the corridors.

We also did Infection on Ivory Tower, which I absolutely kicked ass on. Somehow all the ramps and stuff clicked, and I absolutely dominated on it. In the above screenshot, I was the last one alive and got jumped by everyone at the last few seconds. I somehow just barely made it out alive. I got really lucky with all my shots. I think if one of my friends had rolled a second later I wouldn’t have survived.

We ended off our custom games with a game of Oddball, which turned into Slayer really at the end. That’s how these things go. One of our friends teabags another, then they start a rivalry, then someone else gets sucked in, and before we know it, we’re just playing slayer again.

To end off the night though, we went into social games for Reach. When I spawned in, my time was basically all wiped at the start as 3 of the 4 Red Team members stormed us. Somehow, just barely, I survived. It felt like I was storming Normandy because we basically rushed them and through the mess of grenades and corpses flying I lived… only to promptly be taken out by a needler rifle round to the skull when I hopped down to help my teammates.

In between the games of Reach there was a game of Ninjanaught on Halo 3 which I won (I’m an absolute menace on Halo 3 Ninjanaught), but for some reason Halo 3 MP Theater needs the campaign installed which I have still yet to grab, so for now that’s lost in the air I guess.

Yeah that name sounds familiar. If it’s what I’m thinking it is, that was a favourite of mine for a bunch of game modes.
