French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz have voiced severe scepticism about efforts by the US government and its envoys to negotiate a peace between Ukraine and Russia, according to a transcript of a confidential call cited by German magazine Spiegel.

It started even before that with the chronic overpromising and underfunding of the effort by both sides of the Atlantic.

Are you telling me that Donald Trump, the sitting President of the United States of America might have some sympathies to Russia and therefore it’s leader Vladimir Putin?

    Stop the presses.

If only there had been signs, like well documented investigations and years of praise.

Trump has betrayed virtually everyone who’s crossed his path. If he hasn’t yet he will. Just ask his lap dog Rudy Ghouliani

Maybe it’s just me. But there is a huge difference in what Politicians say openly and to some insider’s ears.

Ofcourse " WE" believe in a Peaceplan and in the best intentions by Putin and Trump!! (/not).

Since a long time I feel Europpean Politicians have just played trusting Putler and the Trumptraitor, both. I mean like what are they going to say " we don’t trust you?". As if fascist narcissistic people would ever give a fuck about someone else opinion. Unless, ofc they are birds of a feather.

Yesterday, I reacted to a comment by a Gringo who stated that Europe IS ( still) willfully ignorant of Putin’s intentions and that we actually believe in his peace.

I don’t get it that people don’t understand that this is how diplomacy works. Lots of BS and ass kissing usually, and Europe needs to do this too, especially now unfortunately.

Too late. The “betrayal” began on Trump’s first term.

We could have stopped that “special military operation” the day it started. We “chose” not to. All that DEATH.

The first impeachment was because of betraying Ukraine. Do you think he’ll do any different after so many examples of making everything Putin wants go to Putin and Russia? He’s betraying every ally who doesn’t give him massive bribes.
