      It depends, would you consider Sam Altman part of the LGBTQ+ community?

        Not the mainstream one. He doesn’t hold any clout amongst most of us as a gay man. We don’t listen to him; he’s no gayfluencer. But Andrew Tate holds clout as a manfluencer.

          Exactly, both groups are large enough to contain more than one community. I’m not sure there’s even a way to define a “mainstream” community of men beyond patriarchal roles so general that a lot of individual masculinities within their bounds define themselves just as much in opposition to each other as in opposition to women.

          And as a point of comparison, rich white creeps whom no one on Grindr wants to touch have much, much more material power to ruin lives across the world than the mainstream LGBTQ+ community. If we can define a positive, radical queerness opposed to Altman and Buttigieg and their interests, I think it’s equally important to leave room for an equally positive masculinity opposed to whatever Tate is doing nowadays.
