        Hah yeah

Background for anyone following along: if the Kymer Rouge gives you glasses you better pretend you don’t need them because they were torturing then executing everyone with glasses. Because obviously glasses = intelligencia = elite. And there can be no elite in utopia.

In the countryside where the civil war began there wouldn’t have been many people rich enough to have glasses but once they captured the capital city with all the public servants, businesses, schools, university, etc it got real dark. The kind of dark that permanently lowers the floor of what we think the depths that humanity can fall into.

It got so bad that the Vietnamese army (who were also communists so they weren’t getting involved for funsies) had to invade to stop the chaos from leaking over the border. They had just beaten France then USA so were pretty on top of their game. China attacked north Vietnam to support the Kymer Rouge but were beaten back within a month. The Viet Cong were hard. core.

Vietnam occupied Cambodia for a decade after that while the Kymer Rouge held on in remote areas. Large parts of Cambodia and Laos are still covered in landmines and unusable as a result. People with missing limbs are a common sight. To this day I still occasionally assume something horrible happened when I see a stranger positioned in such a way that I can’t see all of their leg or arm. That’s how much maiming I’ve seen.

        But I digress.

As it turns out, no power structure likes competition. Who knew. Like you could just as easily say that Libertarian Socialists don’t like competition.

Or are you saying that Libertarian Socialists do like competition and would gladly lose a competition against another power structure. Because that’s what happened.

It’s like you’re not even thinking through the meanings of words let alone the implications of concepts when made concrete in the real world

Most people dont think like tankies or fascists. LibSocs will only suppress groups who actively seek to harm others or reintroduce capitalism.

Same goes for DemSocs and any other pluralists and left libertarians.

If you think others will sink that low just because you would, you are mistaken.

Oh no no, I don’t think they would sink that low just because I would. I don’t think that at all. I agree with you. LibSocs wouldn’t do that until it was too late, and then they would lose to the people that would. Which is why they’re useless, because they can’t defend the people they’re trying to liberate. They have an inaccurate analysis of the world, and therefore they will fail to liberate people.

LibSocs will only suppress groups who actively seek to harm others or reintroduce capitalism.

These people are not only everywhere and in large numbers and with great forces at their command, and not only are they actively committing violence right now and killing people to maintain capitalism, but they are also operating covert and subversive programs right now that infiltrate liberatory movements and disrupt them. This is why the only successful revolutions by communist parties for the last century have been ML revolutions - because their analysis of the opponent is accurate and that analysis leads to the conclusion that maintaining a revolution requires the ability to sustain warfare at a massive scale while simultaneously disrupting covert subversive programs that are literally already present before the revolution even kicks off.

This is why MLs will suppress any group that builds dual-power in the military and political spheres, because they know that such power will be used against the revolution that the MLs secured and, since no other political group has managed a successful revolution, that would mean weakening the revolution, by definition.

You are aware this group isn’t intended for MLs to defend their power fantasies, right?

Like any of you could have read the rules and taken a hint that I will put a stop to ya once the apologia becomes too obvious.

It’s almost as if fascism is the problem, and it doesn’t really matter whether Stalin or Hitler or Kim is at the helm.
