    Love your overall point but this was RA3 right? PC gaming was definitely mainstream by then. If you meant RA1/2 era, 100%

      Maybe people just didn’t think I was cool. heh. I don’t know when it went mainstream, but it probably helped being younger than I was as I’d expect kids growing up with that to have more friends into it, whereas I was born in 1975 and didn’t get my first computer until 1987, and back then, I didn’t know anyone else who had one.

      I did have a couple of friends with consoles, so it was maybe starting to take off mostly with kids. heh
