    Can someone please ELI5 why a strike on the headquarter of an intelligence agency is considered as a major escalation? For me this sounds like one of the most valuable military targets in any conflict. I would have assumed that it would be a high priority for all parties in a war to decimate your opponents intelligence services as early as possible.

    In contrast to this, I would consider the numerous attacks on civilians and non-military infrastructure as a major escalation as they are directly targeting totally uninvolved people.

      It’s just a frustrating clickbaity title. They’re at war, we’ve read about multiple war crimes by Russia, I don’t see how they can escalate at this point.
