LG should face legal consequences.
install custom roms on your phones and avoid proprietary apps. just saying.
According to the article, if not connected to the Internet, they store the data locally and then upload it when they next get an Internet connection.

I guess I’m glad I cut the power to the tv when not in use, in addition to blocking its connection at my router.
So that’s why the owners community keep saying their TVs have a running out of memory issue…
My lg TV will never connect to the Internet again after switching to using a Linux box on HDMI. So it can listen all it wants but that data is going nowhere
I’m very glad that I’ve never given my LG tv access to the internet and I certainly don’t intend to now.
None of my lg oled’s are connected to the internet, instead i use old raspberry pi’s to run nuvio, tivimate, and jellyfin. They are showing their age however, and I can’t justify the price of new ones. Is there a lineage os for any of these mainstream android boxes? Like the Walmart branded ones (Onn)?
Glad I don’t want a TV. Phone is bad enough.
