She’s a statesman with enormous experience and political clout (at least had) with a solid ideological foundation in and conviction of democracy and rule of law. These days that goes a long fucking way. What they did to her is probably only eclipsed to what they did to Monica Lewinsky. They just demonize people relentlessly until they become a persona non grata in anyone’s mind- just look at everyone even in this thread shitting on her, they’ve been swept up in the same propaganda dragnet as the right, they start repeating right wing propaganda talking points yet would be incapable of mentioning a single thing she did politically or any of her propositions.
