When I was 14 I played Ladder.

So no, not my favourite era for games.

Reminds me of when people try to invalidate bar codes that way.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's that discolouration on the silver spoon?
3·3 months agoThen how do you explain the bottom side? (And that the rest of the spoon looks regular silver /gray)
Serious question.Edit: okay, I found that it starts at yellowing through reds then blues towards black. Can the back side have anything to do with the aluminum sign that hangs below?
And I still find it weird that there’s some kind of aura around the magnets contact area.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's that discolouration on the silver spoon?
1·3 months agoThat would make sense. I searched for neodymium coating and found that they’re often coated with Nickel-Copper-Nickel or Zinc. 🤔

Why did it spread from the magnet?
Not sure what exactly that means.
There’s another magnet below to hold the other metal sign. The stainless steel fridge looks fine.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's that discolouration on the silver spoon?
4·3 months agoI read everything. (Even changed to my mother tongue.)
Didn’t find anything about interactions of different metals. It only said something about interactions of metals and non-metals.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's that discolouration on the silver spoon?
15·3 months agoThanks for the link.
That just doesn’t explain the reaction between the two metals.
silver needs hydrogen sulfide to tarnish, although it may tarnish with oxygen over time. It often appears as a dull, gray or black film or coating over metal.
Somehow the silver got colourful instead of the usual grey.

1·3 months agoWish I could. Didn’t find a replacement for dxo photolab (mainly for the noise reduction) and onenote (on the work tablet).
At least my TV PC runs Zorin now. Display magnifyer doesn’t work the way I want. I can only start it with a keyboard shortcut, not just with the mouse. And I haven’t gotten the printer running yet.
My old docked tablet also runs Zorin. I wanted to make a simple NAS but server / network sharing stuff seems even more complicated. (Same as Windows.) Always just access denied.

I only remember this stuff.
Noob here.
I tried CachyOS because read good things about it. But wifi only worked during installation. After installation it was a hassle to get WiFi running again.
So Zorin it is for me. Simply runs.
